Nice size and came when expected

Good sturdy board, good value for money

Solid base and very good quality product

Picked up for my wife who, along with my daughters, crochets a *lot*.Out of the box, I can see the board is constructed from finger jointed pieces with long grain glue joints. This means the board is probably made from 5 or more pieces rather than a single width board. This could be a good thing if the block will get wet as this construction can help guard against too much movement or the board cupping/warping. It also reflects the price which would be more expensive if made from full width boards.The finish appears to be just sanded wood, there doesn't appear to be any additional film finish (polyurethane or similar) applied to the block.The grid of drill holes appears accurate with only a few minor fuzzies where the drill dwarf had not completely cleared the hole.The supplied pins are fine with rounded ends. They are included in a plastic test tube with cork stopper which does a reasonable job of keeping them together. They are easily inserted into, and removed from, the holes on the block.Not sure how useful the included stand will prove but it holds the block almost vertical if that is important to you.
