Which is a good thing but you need to make sure the legs or brackets or whatever you're using to support this can handle the weight. Pretty amazing for the price. If you want to finish it quick and easy you can see the pictures of the people that did a quick mineral oil job. Brings out the grains and beauty fantastically well. Wow.

What quality and craftsmanship!! I purchased the 36" x 24" board and am so amazed at how I love this board. When you love to cook like I do, it just makes me feel good to look at it. This is a beautiful and professional addition to my kitchen. I will keep it out always and never put it away. Looks amazing on my countertop.I also bought a food grade mineral oil to seal the board first. I applied it with a piece of cut terry cloth towel. I put the sealer on twice, on all sides, 24 hours apart. Pay attention to the instructions to not get it wet. I am using a damp cloth only to wipe it down. I am going to use this for pasta and bread so I will not be using a sharp knife like a typical cutting board.I need to preserve the smooth surface for dough. I have many other cutting boards for veggies and fruit.I placed a slip free silicone waffle mat underneath to avoid it slipping on my granite. I used a brand new, cut to size rug mat. Worked great.At the price offered here, you cannot go wrong. Add this to your space!

This butcherblock top is perfect for my project. It arrived on time in excellent condition. The packaging was more than adequate to protect the top during transit. The top itself looks great. It already has nice smooth surface that will not even require sanding. I plan on cutting it down to fit a 30" cabinet and finishing it with a food grade butcherblock conditioner. The conditioner will take multiple coats and will darken the wood slightly and bring out the grain.

This is a solid butcher block table top, not laminated surface. Yes there were a couple dimples here and there from shipping. It's a well made, solid product that I'm sure will last forever. I bought mine unfinished and put four coats of clear polyurethane on it, it came out really nice. It's shipped all the way from Vietnam, I can understand why there was very minor shipping damage.

I like this. I turned it into a bar. It stained nicely after I sanded it. I would have given it five stars if I actually knew what type of wood it was, I had it sitting on top of crate (metal) and while I was moving it, It scored up the bottom pretty badly now. Of course that does fall on me but just putting it out there.

Love it! Perfect for what I was needing. I was having issues finding the exact size (36" x 48") I wanted and cam across this beauty. It arrived well packaged and no damage. It is Heavy and Solid!I used Watco 241758 Butcher Block Oil & Finish, Clear. One 16oz can was enough for 4+ coats on both sides. I lightly sanded with 400 grit between each coat, according to the directions. It turned out better than I imagined.
