Will this mount return to zero if removed and reinstalled on the rifle?

Yes it will as long as it’s mounted exactly back on the position on the pic rail that it was zeroed on. Hope this helps.

Leaning towards the Long extended, but would this be the best choice for a M5 18” 6.5 Creed and a 30mm Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50? Thanks!

This scope mount is a great piece of equipment, but I will say it’s best used on the LPVO scopes. The reason being is the scope ring height is to low to accommodate a 50mm objective without risers and may touch the rail or even more so won’t seat in the scope mount ring base. Hope this helps.
