...It could be so much better.Take note, this application/program does not, NOT, create DVD files, only video files. In particular, MP4, which, once burnt onto a DVD, can be played on Blueray players.Having finally gotten around to fully using what is a highly expensive Cropping tool and video merger, I just now discovered that you can only trim and keep footage upto 69 mins. Irrespective of what you thought you had, the duration after the trim is stated as 68 mins and 59 secs. I wish amazon would let reviewers post images as proof.Thankfully, I used a FREE trimmer I downloaded from FS studio. Free video Editor v. 14.13 build 805. Do not download the up to date version, as you have to pay a premium fee in order to save files in their original format.The cropping tool actually works, unlike so many of Wondershare's other offerings, including the overpriced and inferior 'Filmora'. You can't, though, detach the audio clip and, therefore, replace it.To solve the lack of a DVD creator, I also bought DVD Creator pro for just £5-00 ($7-50 approx). I suggest that you do likewise if you want to produce DVD Video recordings.

A Very Good program, converts all video files brilliantly. I have not had time to use all the other functions yet, but video convert is worth the low cost alone.

Works well. HOWEVER, since it was supplied by Amazon UK the software supplier did not have my email address and their registration number did not work. Both Tipard ( the software developer ) and Markt+Technik ( their European distributor) were very helpful via email and solved the problem. Hence 5 stars for all except 'easy to install' which only gets 2 stars.

Buyer beware. Can only use on one device and that's it. Graphics acceleration would not work on my laptop but would on main pc. Uninstalled on laptop and installed on pc. Code would not work again. Sent request to tipard customer services explaining issue. They never replied back. Not interested. Now a useless purchase. Don't waste your time and money. Same software goes under a few other names but looks like same people. Amazon limits return and I did not use it till after the return date. So took the hit on that one. But please hear the warning for yourselves.

Excellent utility. Easy conversion and even makes mp3 music files from video DVDs.

Not used it much yet as I just haven't had the chance . . .I did a couple of conversions and they played fine and also did a small crop again there were no problemsAll I did was change the default location of the "NEWLY CONVERTED" files to a more appropriate folderI note many people have a registration issue . . .A card / note came in the DVD box and so working it out in English I registered the product on-line anddo not seem to have any of those stupid 1/3rd size / file limits people talk about !Still more to do and play with ('cos you just gotta try it out !) but time is not currently availableAnd no I have NOT had any payment or refund for writing this review but if you want to send me some money back then feel free, honestly I don't mind and I won't hold it against you . . . Just saying ! ! ! :)

I recently used a combination VHS/DVD burner to copy my home made VHS tapes to DVD-R dvds. I then used this VideoConverter Ultimate software on my windows 10 pc convert the DVDs to .mp4 files so I could store all my videos in a folder on my PC for easy access. I play these .mp4 files using CyberLink PowerDVD 18 software. Now that the video files are stored as .mp4 files, I can also easily import them into my Corel VideoStudio 2018 software to edit the videos to add titles and soundtracks etc. I have only used the VideoConverter Ultimate software to create a .mp4 file with properties of 720x480 29.97 fps so I can't vouch for all of the output formats that it supports. In my limited use of the program so far, I have not experienced any bloatware etc. The program only takes about 2 minutes to install. The case that the software CD comes in has a registration code inside the case that you have to type in during the installation process. I wish all software installations were this easy! I gave 5 stars to all categories. The best Tech Support is one that you never have to deal with!

Vor 25 Jahren begann ich mit Video8-Aufnahmen. Leider war die Videokamera nach 10 Jahren defekt. Die Filme konnte ich davor noch nicht von Kassette auf PC überspielen. Aus dem Grund war es in den letzten 15 Jahren nicht möglich, die Filme anzuschauen. Mittlerweile gibt es die Möglichkeit, Videokassetten digitalisieren zu lassen. Auf diese Art erhielt ich nach langer Zeit die alten Filme als Datei zurück. Alle digitalisierten Filme hatten die volle Kassettenlänge, auch wenn die Kassetten damals zum Teil nicht vollständig bespielt waren. Somit waren die Dateien teilweise viel zu groß.Als Nutzer von Windows 10 suchte ich ein einfaches, preiswertes Programm zur Filmbearbeitung, was nicht ganz einfach war. Am Ende habe ich mich für VideoConverter Ultimate entschieden. Hiermit lassen sich zahlreiche Film-Datei-Formate bearbeiten.Die Verwendung ist recht einfach. Ich bin kein großer Filmspezialist, aber selbst für mich war es problemlos möglich, meine Dateien anzupassen. Am Ende der Filme vorhandene, unbespielte Abschnitte der Originalkassetten habe ich entfernt. So kürzt sich die Filmlänge auf Originaldauer und die Dateigröße reduziert sich entsprechend. Einige der letzten Filmaufnahmen zeigten bereits Fehler durch die damals beginnenden Mängel der Videokamera. Mittels Einstellungen des Programms lassen sich Farben und Kontrast anpassen sowie Rauschen am Filmrand korrigieren. Dadurch sehen die Filme deutlich besser aus. Das Datei-Format lässt sich u.a. von AVI in mp4 ändern. Die Dateigröße eines 90 Min.-Films ließ sich so von 4 GB auf unter 2 GB reduzieren. Trotzdem sah die Qualität auf dem PC-Monitor und dem 40"-TV unverändert gut aus. Aus Filmdateien lassen sich mit dem Programm kleine Szenen ausschneiden, d.h. ein großer Film wird zu einem ganz kurzen Abschnitt reduziert und dieser gespeichert. Damit konnte ich an die Familie per WhatsApp kleine Grüße aus der alten Zeit schicken.VideoConverter ist ein einfaches Programm, dass mir als Hobby-Filmer bei der Filmbearbeitung problemlos unter die Arme greift.

Die Wonder der Reihe nach: 1. Nach der Installation erfahre ich, dass ich lediglich die Möglichkeit erworben habe, die Vollversion zu kaufen. Aber immerhin habe ich erfolgreich den "Wondershare-Pass registriert". Und damit darf ich auf eine Herstellerseite, wo mir eben dies kundgetan wird.2. Aber ich darf das Programm ausprobieren, also unter vorkonfigurierten Möglichkeiten eine Videodatei konvertieren lassen. Das Video wird dann zu einem Drittel konvertiert. Die genauen Parameter der Konvertierung kann ich leider nicht nachvollziehen, finde Null Info dazu, und die Qualität ist leider mäßig. 3. Die Software sagt beim Start, dass es ein Update gibt, wenn man darauf klickt, werden Dateien heruntergeladen und installiert, am Schluss heißt es dann man, man solle das Programm beenden, damit die Updates installiert werden können, macht man das, ist ALLES beendet. Und beim nächsten Start wird man wieder darauf hingewiesen: "Es gibt ein Update..." Liebe Leute, ich will ja gar nicht ausschließen, dass bei der Installation irgendetwas etwa schief gelaufen ist, ABER: DVD einlegen, Programm installieren, Schlüssel eingeben und dann läuft es, also so kenne ich das. Wenn das für Euch zu hoch ist, seid ihr Versager. Viele Grüße vom WonderWolf.
