Lightweight and easy to use
I needed a step stool that also had hand grips.I have strings of medium light bulbs on my deck, and they are attached tothe rafters, not too far overhead.I ain't young, and do not trust myself for balance enough to want to replace1-2 dozen lights at a time, and having to step up and down dozens of timesto get the lights changed.Especially if I were to use a step stool with no grips. This folding step stool has hand grips THAT FOLD UP WITH THE STOOL.Other stools with hand grip have the hand grips extend past the stool when folded. Those take up a lot of space.THIS stepstool holds up to 500 lbs., others are extremely heavy duty, and also VERY HEAVY.I tried this out, and I love it. Sturdy enough to do what is needed, and it has a pull-on canvas tool holder.I plan to put a few extra stitches in that holder to allow me to usethe center of it to hold some bulbs.(Holder has pockets in front, but the inside pulls over the top end of the stool.)This thing is great: good price, very sturdy but lightweight,AND FOLDS UP TO BE ONLY 3" WIDE at the side.I was really happy when I found I could slide it beside my refrigeratorto also easily use it in my kitchen.

Nice quality. Love the height and side bars for added security.
Arrives put together except for very top piece. Easy to complete. Very sturdy ladder. Good width on steps. Side bars make it safer for me. A tad bit heavy but that makes it all the better. Easy to unfold and fold. Pleased with purchase. My stairway to heaven! Haha

Favorite Step Ladder
This is the best step ladder we have ever owned inasmuch as we feel safer climbing up to change a light bulb or when needed for things out of reach. Well made, light and easy to set up. We purchased the 4 step. It gave us more area to hold onto.

This ladder is worth every penny
I'm 74 years old, 245 pounds. I have very weak legs. This ladder fit my needs perfectly. The high cabinets almost broke my bones when falling down off a chair. The hand rails and stability is out of this world.im sure I can use this outside as well. Assembly was a breeze. The leg bumpers are super. It is also lite weightThis was my top rated buys from Amazon.

I'M A SENIOR-SENIOR - THAT MEANS REALLY OLD
My old wooden ladder finally fell apart. I bought a new metal ladder & my feet hurt on the uneven steps. I researched a while and decided on this new ladder & am so excited about it. It's good looking and reminds me of a library ladder due to being able to adjust the height of it. Love the handlebars on each side. Feel very secure on it. I desperately needed a new ladder due to having to move a few of my original art paintings to new areas - in a living room w/ a cathedral ceiling. I can't say enough about it. And what a nice little surprise in the package - an elastic waist belt for small tools.

Good for light use.
Definitely don't put too much weight on this. 200 pounds seems to be all it can handle. Mine broke at the top step. Only a pin held in place by a thin ring of plastic. Unable to repair it. It's trash at this point. But otherwise pretty good as long as you don't expect high quality.

Fantastic ladder
We purchased the 5 step ladder and we are so happy with it that we ordered and today received the 2-step ladder. They require very little space for storage, the steps are comfortable and safer because they are wider and the handrails add extra support and safety. We now own probably ten ladders which we accumulated in the search for a lighter and safer ladder. We have finally found the perfect ladder.

Broke withing 6 months
I was using this to install an outdoor flood light fixture level concrete. I started to climb the ladder and got to the second step when I heard a loud crack. I thought, no way this ladder just broke...its rated for 500lbs and I'm not even half that weight. Wouldn't you know, the metal bracket at the top of the ladder on the 4th step, broke. Metal vs plastic...well metal is going to win that 99.9% of the time. This ladder is junk now because the bracket is unstable.Lesson learned, I'll be buying a better quality ladder to replace this thing. Might use some epoxy to repair it, but I shouldn't have to do that...this ladder shouldn't have broken.
