Solid metal construction. A confident, resounding locking "click" when my DSLR is placed placed into position on the tripod. Plus, no more fiddling around trying to line up the fiddly tripod connecting screw with camera threaded hole so no longer a risk of scratching bottom of my Nikon camera. I'm very pleased with this and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another if I needed to switch over to a second tripod.

Build quality is great! All solid metal. Love the quick release switch, parts lock very well. Easy to lock/unlock put/take off plates. Fits my Peak Design (arcaswiss) plate.

These just plain work. They are solidly built. I like that the screw to anchor it to your camera not only has a slot to tighten it but a small fold down metal flap to tighten it. It fits multiple tripods and ball heads I have.

I own many Neewer products and use them on a weekly basis. As such, I was eager to try Neweer's quick release camera mount. However my concerns started when I noticed that, while the quick release felt sturdy and has a solid build quality, the quick release latch would not return to the fully closed or locked position after a camera had been properly mounted on the provided arca swiss plate.I contacted their customer support and they were very prompt to respond to this issue, and we're also very friendly. They assured me that this was normal functionality, but I found it strange that the latch would return all the way to the fully locked position without a camera on top or when I would manually push the pins down. Ultimately I decided that it wasn't worth the risk and returned the product. Hopefully others have a better experience with their unit.I still thoroughly enjoy all of my other Neewer products, and I look forward to future releases, but this one was a miss for me.

I’ve used it while recording videos in my car, attaching it to a suction cup mount, and it stayed rock solid the entire time. The automatic locking mechanism adds an extra layer of safety, which I absolutely love. It’s not going to accidentally detach, and if you fully lock it, that camera isn’t going anywhere.A Minor Wish for ImprovementIf I had one small wish, it would be for a slightly more compact design. While I appreciate the sturdy feel, a more streamlined version would be even better for those times when I’m trying to keep my gear as light and portable as possible.ConclusionOverall, this mount has made my shooting process so much easier and quicker, and the peace of mind I get from its security features is worth the slight bulkiness.
