Inexpensive but works well
It was very easy to set up and works well. Why did you pick this product vs others?:If it didn't work as described, then I got what I paid for. But it does work.

Inconsistent finger print scans
I wanted to like this fingerprint reader, but after the initial setup it would take multiple scans each time to login to my computer. It is not an optical press once scanner but rather you have to swipe your finger at the same speed and angle every time otherwise it fails. The reader is also not heavy so it moves around easily. I switched to a U.are.U fingerprint reader and it works 100% of the time. There is no swiping just push and hold your finger and you are logged into Windows Hello without any issues.

Place, not swipe!
BEWARE, READ UPDATE BELOW! So far so good. I think it is important to note that this is not a swipe fingerprint scanner, you pick up your finger and just place it down on the reader for this one. I had some trouble at first because I did not realize that and was swiping and it was have a lot of trouble. Once I started just placing my finger, it has worked pretty much every time with the occasional misread (maybe once or twice in a week of heavy computer use). For the price, I would say it is pretty solid.I tried really hard to like this thing. It worked reasonably well at first, but the performance has degraded quickly to the point where the product is no longer usable. Of course it happened outside the refund period so they will be able to steal my money.

Doesn't work long term.
It worked well for about six months. setup was easy. But then it just stopped working. I had to back to using the keyboard and enter my PIN.

OK, but struggles a bit to recognize the fingerprint
Works with my Windows desktop but it typically takes two attempts to recognize the fingerprint, and sometimes it won't work at all.

I wouldn't recommend
While easy to set up it didn't reliably recognize my finger, and it was a low cost solution I wouldn't recommend this. I have since replaced it with the Kensington VeriMar Gen2 USB-A Fingerprint Key Reader, which I have no issues with.

Be prepared to possibly adjust BIOS settings to make this work correctly.
It works, and works well. If you are having issues, change your USB port. If it works, then don't worry about the driver. If your computer is powered down and the red light on the fingerprint reader does not turn off, the USB port is still powered on; you will need to adjust your power settings in the BIOS to power down the USB ports when the machine is off. This will fix the issue of the scanner not working upon boot. As others have said, this is not a swipe reader, so don't swipe across it and expect it to work. Place your finger straight down onto it, and roll it left or right. If it still doesn't read correctly, clean the reader with a dry cloth, and make sure your hands are clean & dry.

Buy a different one
I wish I had read the reviews a little more carefully. I bought this to try out at work and got it set up without any issue. I scanned in two different fingers with Windows Hello. So far, so good.Unfortunately, using the fingerprint reader after setup is a frustrating experience. It almost never unlocks the pc and after three attempts I have to enter my pin. It's actually read my fingerprint correctly and unlocked my workstation one out of thirty times. I've even removed my fingerprints in windows and re-setup a couple of times. My built in fingerprint reader, in another system, works flawlessly almost every time. Unfortunately I'm past the return window, so this will probably just go in the trash.
