Fantastic DAB / FM Radio
In my view this radio is perfect. Lovely small portable size, beautifully made, excellent ergonomics, looks beautiful, fabulous rich sound from such a small radio with plenty of power, and very easy to operate controls etc. Reception sensitivity is also excellent on DAB. Another bonus is that you can fit rechargeable batteries and charge them in the radio using the supplied power adaptor. Brilliant!Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.

High quality
This is a little powerhouse. It's compact, feels beautifully made, looks elegant in a retro / modern way, and is full of features. It's portable and fully a 'wireless' radio - pop 4 x rechargeable AA batteries in and it automatically recharges them when plugged in. The display stays on while in battery mode and that's not always the case! That display includes a battery level indicator, also always on.Audio is impressive and has depth and clarity for a small unit. It has an equaliser in the settings - so you can easily adjust treble, bass and loudness (bass at low volume I think) to your taste. It's very much a radio up to serious music listening. There's a travel lock on the back, ideal if you're taking it with you. There's one on my Rambler Mini - a great little idea they've built on here. The power cable for mains goes in the back, not underneath - much better. Headphone jack there too.On top of the radio are 2 separate, dedicated preset favourites buttons for instant access. Brilliant. These in addition to the 'heart' preset button which saves up to 20 stations. The controls have been particularly well designed and prioritised. It's solid, weighty, and the buttons and knobs are all firm and sturdily made. It's a quality item and is unquestionably a step up in design, build and performance to any previous Roberts Rambler model.

Wow, I am so impressed
It has a very compact size but still a good weight of around 800 gr for good sound. After being very disappointed with the first rambler BT reissue four or five years ago this one is a fully satisfying portable radio: good sound (passive radiator), good reception and most important a really cool 60ies / 70ies retro look. BT 5.2 works just great with my phone.I like the fact that you can charge AA-batteries inside the radio, there is a small switch in the batterie-compartment for alkaline or NiMh. The battery life of one charge is not as long as a of a good BT-Speaker with Li-Ion battery but with 6-8 hours it should be long enough for a trip to the park, garden or pool. The only suggestion for improvement would be an AUX-In / Line-Out and a visible badge of the royal warrant on the radio itself. The price should be under 100 GBP on the long run but even at RRP it is worth it. Good job roberts!

Brilliant radio!
Brilliant radio. Rather smaller than it appeared online but the sound quality is superb and the overall design excellent. The directions are also easy to follow (how often this is not the case). I wish the display on top was easier to read but that is my only criticism and others may not be troubled by this. Great value for the money. Highly recommend!

The perfect travel companion
Outstanding sound and build quality, very good Bluetooth connectivity. I am also impressed that you can use your own rechargeable batteries, which can be recharged while the radio is plugged in. The travel lock is also a very useful addition. Very impressed!

Quality in a small package
We bought this to fit on a window-sill (it measures 6.4 cm front-to-back) It sounds really good and feels solid. It takes 4x normal AA batteries OR rechargeable NiMH ones (which we use) There are 2x presets though you can store more stations using the "Favourites" button. You can download the PDF manual for this from the Roberts website, which we used to set our preferred Bass (-1) and Treble (+2) The power-supply supposedly uses less than 0.1 watt when the batteries are not being charged, so we leave it switched-on at the plug. Note that you HAVE to flick a switch to tell it if you are using rechargeable batteries - don't let it try and charge ordinary batteries!

The sound quality for such a small radio.
I purchased this as I wanted to get a radio with a good sound quality and I wasn't disappointed. For such a small radio it is a pleasure to listen to it. I like all types of music and I especially found classical music so good.
