seems nice. hope to never use it.
Right out of the box, I was impressed with the item. It is a little larger than we had hoped and isnt a "keychain" size. However, It does fit the hand nicely and will fit in my wife's purse. the flashlight is good and bright. The shocky part is definately loud and both spaces arc when you activate it. I did NOT test this on myself. I hope we never use it.

Great way to have an inconspicuous defense option
This is a neat idea, combining a stun gun with a flashlight, creating a way to inconspicuously have a defense option. I would generally prefer to have defense options that work "at a distance", as the downside of a stun gun is you have be at contact distance, but that isn't always possible. This also creates a good non-lethal option for situations that do not warrant lethal force. As for the unit itself, it's light weight and easy to use. The flashlight isn't super bright, but it is plenty bright enough for most situations and can be blinding if shone directly into someone's eyes. The switch for the light also acts as a safety for the stun gun (the electrical contacts are on the end of the bezel); push it forward to the first stop for flashlight, then forward to the next stop to arm the stun gun. Once armed, the button ahead of the light switch activates the stun function. When I pushed that button briefly for a test, the dog and I both kind of jumped at the sound of the electrical zap! It looks like it would be quite effective (and I wasn't about to test it out on myself). The case is plastic, but feels quite robust. I like that the battery is rechargeable and easy to charge with a standard connector (USB charge cord is also included). As for downsides, one I see is the lack of a clip, as I would like to have a clip on the side of this flashlight for easy pocket carry. I also don't care much for the way the light switches between brightest, dimmer, and flashing, as it changes each time you move the switch forward, with no way to bypass the unwanted modes. With the relatively low light this unit produces, there really isn't much point in the dimmer mode, and it would be much easier to have a button activation. Having to move the switch to a middle position can also be challenging to find if under duress. I think I would also prefer to have the light stay on when activating the stun gun (the full forward position on the switch turns the light off as well as arming the stun gun).

Very nice taser
It has a decent flashlight, taser is powerful and the USB C charging is a big plus.

Interesting product that has some design flaws in my opinion
I’ve never seen a stun gun, let alone hold one, but this SABRE flashlight stun gun, looks like a great idea. While I hope I never need to use it, I’m moving to Miami for a new job, and I don’t know my way around there. Since I don’t know anyone, I’ll be there alone. Having this flashlight/stun gun, combo, could certainly give me a sense of security, in the event of an emergency. The 200 Lumens LED flashlight has 3 different modes. It can be set to, low, high, or strobe light. It provides illumination to about 150 ft away, though it’s not the brightest flashlight I’ve ever had. Also, the switch is confusing and cumbersome. You have to cycle thru a bunch of off and on, and then, off and on functions, to get to the different modes, and that doesn’t work to well for me, as I’m kinda plagued with being a fumble finger person. The stun gun, is discretely tucked in at the end of the flashlight. However, to activate it, you have to have gone thru to the last cycle, using the same switch as the flashlight. I’m not sure design flaw, or intended to provide more power for the stun gun, but, when you’re going to stun gun mode, the flashlight shuts off. Call me crazy, but, I’d kinda like to see who and where the person I’m aiming for is, allowing me to make proper contact with the persons skin, as that what’s necessary to activate the stun gun feature. You’re able to set off the “snap, crackle pop” sound it makes prior to making contact, and that may be just enough to scare the person off.The size is a little bigger than will fit in my pocket. It’d be nice if there was another way to attach it to yourself. Just a little frustrating. It does come with a nice hard shell case, that needs to be zipped up to appropriately store it. I’m certainly not going to be using it, if it’s zipped up in a case. So that seems a bit awkward.Overall, I think the combo flashlight/stun gun could be nice to have, but I’m a bit leery about actually using it in that way. I give 3 stars.

Snap, crackle pop
A year back, my partner was attacked by a dog. There was a lot of trauma and damage involved, not to mention a hefty medical bill. In the aftermath, animal control told us to carry a stun gun. They said, generally speaking, the sound alone is enough to scare off most dogs and – in a worst-case scenario, the charge will do the trick. I have a couple pocket-sized version but when I saw this, I wanted to give it a try. The brand is familiar to me — I have some of their pepper spray products, so knew I was getting quality. It charged up fairly quickly and seems to hold the charge well. Easy to use, with a power button that lets you toggle between flashlight and zap mode, and then a little “give ‘em heck” button to bring the lightning. The unit produces a nasty little crackle of blue sparks that sounds very serious. I like that the “prongs” are built into the rim of the light. Others I’ve seen, and carry, have kind of flimsy looking prongs but this seems very legit and able to provide more points of contact. Puts a lot of power in your hand that makes me feel pretty confident. I guess the one minor complaint I have is that it’s a little longer than can be easily slipped into a pocket. And the case is definitely too bulky to carry and hard to open in a bad situation. Great for storage though. A very minor complaint. We took it with us on an early wak this morning and encountered an aggressive looking mastiff with an apathetic owner. Had it in my hand and ready to go and felt pretty safe during the interaction even though I didn’t have to hit the buzzer. Great product, that you hope you never have to actually use, at a good price.Note: Tried to capture a picture of the sparks in action, but it was a little too chaotic for my phone to handle.
