Perfect shape and size for a Q3

This is a bit larger in diameter than I was expecting, but it does fit well on my X-Pro 1. The all important tiny O ring is included—I'm not sure how many of these types of buttons I lost before someone suggested using these rings."Soft" release buttons are usually available both convex and concave. I'm more used to the convex style, but wanted to give this one a try. Typically, the trick to getting a smoother shutter release with one of these buttons, for me, has been to put the tip of my finger beyond the button, say on the shutter speed dial, and rather than pressing down with my finger, I just straighten it out slightly, which presses the button that is more or less under my first joint.

This is a lovely-looking shutter release button. I just wish it didn’t unscrew so easily. It seems to be a constant theme amongst shutter release buttons to have this happen. Maybe it’s a threading issue?When it does stay in, the button feels wonderful in hand and makes your photography a smooth experience. The construction is otherwise excellent, and I do like it aside from the unscrewing issue. I just would like that corrected.On the fence, but I kind of recommend? I’m not sure where it is right now, ngl. I had it an hour before writing this review….

I just got this today and took it for a spin!While it slightly blocks the power switch, the trade-off for adding a shutter button is worth it. This thing looks fantastic—it gives my camera a more premium feel, which makes me even happier to carry it around. I love that it's made of metal; it adds to the tactile experience and even picks up the ambient temperature, which is a cool touch.Overall, I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a shutter button!
