Can You At Least Tone Down The Smell?
Ok. The truth, if you can handle it, is that this bike lock is a piece of crap. BUT, for the purpose I bought it for it works well. Usually, I use the coil lock you see on the right of the attached photo. That lock weighs 15 oz, is plenty long when stretched, is well made, comes with a well designed mounting system for easy transport, and gives me peace of mind when I lock my bike up in in low risk areas.15 oz is light compared to truly effective steel U-locks, but I hate carrying around an extra pound of weight on my rides. Sometimes I know I’m not going to stop anywhere on a 15 mile exercise ride, and leave a lock at home. But often, I ride past enticing cafes and want to grab a coffee, read a paper, take in the sunshine, and commingle with other cyclists. THAT is when I want to carry a lightweight lock that still acts as a deterrent to a thief who would consider stealing an unlocked Felt Z28.This lock weighs 4 3/4 oz, and that weight loss is the best and only good thing I can say about it. It is only 2 ft long, just long enough to get around a pole. It has an opaque black plastic cover over the (god knows how thin) steel cable -BTW this plastic smells something awful, and the combo lock is certainly not the most robust. And there is no mounting system, so I have to wrap the lock around the back of my saddle. But it looks like a more substantial lock than it probably is, and for 30 minutes to 1 hour social interludes keeps my bike where I left it. Would I use this lock on a $10,000 Cervelo carbon fiber bike with SRAM Red AXP electronic shifters? Not even for 15 seconds. The truth is, it’s hard to find really lightweight bike locks of high quality. So I bought this turd of a lock and I am VERY HAPPY with it. For my ephemeral, but longed for breaks from pedaling, this little smelly number does what I ask of it.If Dick Felt (that’s what I call my beloved Felt Z28) gets stolen I’ll augment this review. Until then, live dangerously but well fellow riders.

Solid product for the price
Solid product for the price.I don't know exactly as pictured it performed exactly as described.Sm sound odd I'm not actually using it as a bike lock so the security of the being out in public is not a concern of mine but from feeling the item with the thickness of the cable it would take some effort to cut the cable on this. Ultimately no matter what you use if a thief is walking around with bolt cutters they'll be able to get through just about any bike lock. For securing a scooter or a bicycle and a area with average crime I think this is perfect it's lightweight and easy to use if you have a very expensive bike or other item you may want to consider investing more and a bike lock to keep it more secure.Make sure you read the entire description because it gives you appropriate warnings as does the packaging it's very easy to set the code to whatever you want and it's easy for you to change the code if you want to however what that also means is if you have a child using the lock who's playing with it they can easily change the code and once you change the code you HAVE to remember it if you don't the lock becomes completely useless.Scenario your child is using this as a bike lock and is messing around with it and messes with the dial accidentally resets the code doesn't realize it and keeps playing with the Diles then when they go to use the bike lock again they won't be able to because they don't know the code that they set. This is a manual lock not an electronic lock so there's not a way to reset the code without knowing the previous code.As far as I'm concerned this is standard with this type of lock it's well mentioned in the product description as well as in the very simple instructions that come in the packaging.I would definitely buy this again

Avoid, unreliable, big pain
Completely unreliable. Worked great for a few months until tonight, when it wouldn't open with the correct combination. Believe me, I fiddled and pulled every which way to no avail. So our son's bike remains locked to a chain link fence at the baseball field and will remain there overnight. Hopefully it will still be there in the morning while I drive to Home Depot to buy a bolt cutter. File this under "you get what you pay for." Recommend avoiding this lock at all costs, not worth the risk of a failure like we just experienced.

Great lock for the Segway Ninebot ES4
We purchased the Sanwo 2 feet x 1/2 inch locks to secure our Segway Ninebot ES4 kick scooters. The ES4 can easily be secured to a bike rack, lightpost/tree, or street sign. Sometimes both ES4s can be secured with a single lock. If you plan to secure an ES4, be sure to purchase the lock with 2 foot (or less) length since, even when not secured to a post (etc), the lock cannot be removed over the handle bars or the wheels. At times, we have found it possible to lock two scooters with a single lock. Two locks can be combined for more length if needed. Now I hear some of you saying the ES4 kick scooter can be locked by an app for the iPhone. Well the app has bugs and even if the app did properly operate, the scooter is sufficiently low weight and compact enough to be carried away - the controller is easy enough to change. We bought the black lock to match the color of our ES4s so that a bright color would not attract unwanted attention. The lock can be easily looped over the handle bars and the plastic coat prevents any scarring of the scooter. The lock cable is flexible and easier to use than the u-shaped locks often used for bike locks. The sellers did a great job with the information and the product. We received the item within one day.

Lock stuck
I bought this to lock up my fridge at night (I have three teenage boys who snack in the wee hours of the night and I was sick of waking up to a messy kitchen). I put this on my fridge and the lock stuck. I panicked and figured I’d need to get a bolt cutter. After much pulling and twisting I got the lock to unhinged. The locking mechanism is not smooth.
