Great model - probably better suited for kids but still awesome
I got this as a gift for my nephew who is really into planes. I've never seen anything like it so thought it would be a cool surprise. At first when he opened the box, he was a little confused, but then I explained it to him and his eye lit up! He said "you mean we get to build a jet engine???"So we got to work. The kit went together smoothly - no real issues. Instructions were written well. I did see the other reviewer mention that the names of parts weren't labeled with their real technical names, but luckily my nephew isn't that into planes where he noticed. One thing I do think is worth noting is that I do believe this model is 3D printed - with 3D printed models you can see the layers from the 3D printing process. I can tell because I do 3D printing myself. This isn't really a knock - I am just trying to let you know - the pieces won't be super smooth like they came out of a mold. But everything still works really well and this is a great 3D printed model. All in all, I think this is a great model to work on with someone younger. It's not overly complicated where they will get frustrated, they still get to see how it all goes together, and they get that sense of satisfaction when it's complete. And this to me is almost better than something like a Lego model because it actually works vs. being a static object on a shelf. All in all, I am really pleased with this model. It was packaged very well and it was great project with my nephew!

Very cool project
I am a retired jet engine mechanic and bought this for my 14 year old grandson for Christmas. It appears to be well made with nice detail. He is already an experienced model builder and should have no problem assembling it. There is a geared electric motor to run it and it is pressed and screwed together. It comes with a small screw driver but no batteries. (Needs 2 AA)The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the instructions. They are adequate to put it together, but if you want to know the correct names of the components in a jet engine ignore the names in these instructions and buy a book about turbo fan and jet engines. (I recommend "Gas Turbine Engine Technology by Traeger) The nomenclature in the instructions is all wrong. You would think a company able to make a product like this could hire someone who knows the correct names of the components in a turbine engine. They call the compressor section and high-pressure turbine the "low pressure turbine." The fan is the "propeller". The low-pressure housing is the "Low Voltage Housing" ??? and the low- pressure turbines are the "high pressure turbines" according to them. C'mon man! This is supposed to be a learning experience. Maybe I'm just too critical, but I redid the instructions to reflect the actual functions of the parts. I want my grandson to start out right. Good thing I checked it out before I wrapped it. Other than that, I like it. It was more detailed than I expected and considerably less expensive than the other similar models. They did save money on technical wrighters.

Pls send the exact parts that are mention in the post
The parts are missing, high pressure turbine not able to fix with low pressure turbine

cool idea but not great
The quality of material used is good. The directions aren’t clear and the pieces aren’t labeled. It’s not exactly as it is in the pictures/videos. There is no place to put the battery or handle to make the engine light up and run. This is a “desk top model", not one that has moving parts and pieces. It includes bearings so it should run, but there is no where for batteries/handles to operate it.

Its 3d printed and quality control is lacking
This was a pretty cool model after it was all said and done but a few things to note. First of all. this is 35 printed and very rough around the edges, a little sandpaper helps as you work your way through the build. Second, the instructions were pretty crappy and some parts weren't even so much as pictured in the book at all. You will likely end up with a thousand screws and it's important to know, you won't need them all. They just really throw a handful in there and say nothing about the extra hardware. Lastly, the instruction book I received was for a different model that came with an apparent speed controller and that's confusing when you don't have it. Overall its a novel item and it serves that purpose well, but as a consumer spending any amount of money on a product should come with (at the very least) a better effort from the manufacturers to make quality items, instead of rushing them out the door.

Awesome gift for my husband’s man cave!
Just delighted! This is such a cool piece. I got it as a gift for my husband to assemble for his man cave—though technically, it’s our shared space, but this one is for his section, haha! He hasn’t had a chance to put it together yet, but I can already tell it’s going to be a really neat addition. The packaging was excellent, with protective foam ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition. The model is 3D printed, which is pretty unique, and the level of detail looks great. The included instructions are printed out and seem easy to follow, so I don’t anticipate any issues with assembly.Once completed, this will be displayed on a shelf in our space. I’ll update if anything unexpected comes up during assembly, but as of now, everything looks promising, and I think this will be a fun and rewarding project!

Fun little project
The assembly was fun, and done in about an hour. Some segments needed more careful work, a bit of sanding down parts was necessary. I thought one of my parts was missing, the turbine rings, but while putting it together, I found it stuck perfectly in the middle of another round part. The quality of the model is decent, it seems all 3d printed plastic. The colors are excellent. The animated turbine is a little underwhelming, it rotates at low speed with a light, no bells and whistles. Overall, a nice little display case piece!I'm sure its a great gift for a kid, too, but it will need some supervision and some sandpaper or a file maybe.
