Excellent light output, cool to warm dimming, but might arrive unplugged inside
This is a great light once you have it working, but mine arrived with half not lighting up. It looks like this is a common issue based on the reviews. I popped off the end cap and found that the power cord to the LED power supply had come unplugged, probably during shipping. After plugging the cord back in, both halves lit up and the resulting light is bright and beautiful.Hanging the light is easy with the included steel cable system. The ceiling mounts allow you to adjust the lengths of the cables easily with the push of a spring loaded button.Construction quality is medium. I wasn't thrilled with the fact that the internal cable had come unplugged, and would have returned the light if it weren't for seeing the other reviews. This problem is so common that I figured it must be a simple issue from shipping. Besides the unplugged cable, the two halves of the light don't align seamlessly (though they're close) and the metal housing on the left and right are different colors of white. The left half has warm white metal housing and the right half is cooler white. I ordered a second one to see if it was a fluke, and it had the exact same color variation between the halves, and both of its power supplies were unplugged, so both issues are likely widespread.Overall I'm super happy with the light, especially for the price, but there is clearly a tendency for the lights to come unplugged in transit, and I'd like to see slightly better fit and finish. The quality of the light output is excellent and the "sunset mode" dimming is very nice. You can disable the sunset dimming feature to have a constant CCT, but it is a warmer white than the brightest output when in sunset mode.Note that the included instructions are incorrect: this light uses triac / phase cut dimming, not 0-10V dimming.

Functional and good looking suspended LED fixture
This is one of those kits that comes with a lot of pieces that you may or may not need for every installation. It's basically 2 complete 4ft lights that can be spliced together into an 8ft one if desired, or can be left as 2 fixtures. If you don't know about the various pieces and hangers you might want to have a professional install it although instructions are included. Also, as others have remarked, you may have to open the fixture up to make sure that all the connections are in place for power. It is not the most robust construction, but once it is hung you will never notice that as it looks great from the ground.

Was missing pieces
Product did not come with any hardware to hang from the ceiling. It was just the light.

Wish It Worked As Described
This light fixture seems like a good solution where immense amounts of light are required. Although shipped as two 4-foot long sections, they are joined via a slip yoke fitting that is fixed with 8 screws and firmly supports the joint. The electrical connection between the two halves is a 3-pronged keyed connector that has a female thread on one end and a male thread on the other. The joint is also sealed with a rubber o-ring to prevent moisture intrusion. The fixture does come with an attached power cord that is intended to be hardwired into a canopy box located above the fixture. The cord is matching white and appearance grade. There is a matching metal canopy with a rubber strain relief to protect the cord where it enters the canopy. The cord length measures around 4 feet, but allowing for practical wire length to make connections in the ceiling box shortens that length a bit. The fixture is hung from adjustable thin metal cables and affixed to the ceiling with clamp-type fittings that anchor to the ceiling. Fear not if you pull the cable too tight into the ceiling fitting. The projecting clamp nipple is spring loaded and pressing it upward releases the clamp action that holds the cable tight. The other end of the hanging cable is screwed into slip bolts that slide into the track that is extruded into the back of the fixture. We installed the fixture in our basement and wired into an adjacent ceiling box. We did not use the canopy, instead we used a cable clamp 1/2" connector to make our connection to the box. We hung the first half of the fixture by the hanging cables, then suspended the second half from its cables. We attempted to join the two halves with the slip yoke only to find that the fitting wouldn't seat into the other half. Inspection revealed a glob of sealant blocking the way. A tap with the sharp end of a screwdriver popped the glob off and the two halves came together. We couldn't get the screw holes to line up with the second half, so we loosened the screws on the first half and were able to line things up. We then made the final electrical connection. If connecting to a multiple wired connection, you may need to strip off a little more of the wire insulation to make a good contact inside the wire nut. When all was installed, we switched the light on. Only one half worked. The second half doesn't light up. We made sure to tighten the connectors together firmly, so we're not sure what went wrong. Perhaps the excessive cable cause strain within the fixture when they were joined and the cable pushed inside. If so, then Be Studied needs to engineer this junction better to prevent damage. It took a while to install the light, so we haven't yet attempted to trouble shoot the fixture. We are disappointed that such a simple connection would fail immediately. We are also disappointed that the light color switch only allows us 2 choices instead of the 3 suggested. For the cost of this fixture, the solid aluminum body and the hanging hardware are justified, but the "glass half empty" part where only 1/2 of the fixture works is a let down and renders this an expensive mistake.

Only Half Worked
This light just isn't good anyway I go at it. It appears very cheaply made and flimsy. It comes in 2 4 foot sections you have to screw together and plug the two light in. When I got it all together one side just won't work but the other comes on. I have looked and plugged and unplugged etc..and cant see any reason it doesn't work. Even if it did I'd say still not much faith in the way it was made. At this point it's junk as even if it came on I'd be afraid to trust it not to short out. To me, the whole light needs an upgrade .

Very nice lighting
This light fixture seems to be high quality, it’s fairly heavy and well constructed. It can be set up as one 8ft light or two 4ft lights with about 8-10” between the two parallel sections. Note that only one section is set up to be connected to your building power, the other must feed off the first section; you cannot install the two sections separately! One thing I didn’t notice in the instructions is that it is not plug & play, it has to be hardwired into a switched voltage source. It does come with an electrical box and all the necessary hardware. I will hang it from the rafters in my shop once I run a wire to it. I did power it up for testing and it emits a bright light that is well diffused and looks great. The color temperature is adjustable from warm to bright white. I’m excited to complete the installation; based on what I’ve seen so far, it is going to be great above my workbench.
