This is exactly what I was looking for. I am learning French, and was on the hunt for a French/English book to help with my reading of the language. The author did an amazing job in making it interesting to read, while allowing me to learn new words, and understand the flow of the language better. Her highlighted words really helped me out too. I know she has a similar 2nd book, which I plan on buying, and I hope she writes a few more to move me along well with mastering the language.

I've been trying to learn French for years. I've spent far too much money on those online language-learning sites, but nothing seems to stick. What I like about this book is that I don't feel pressured to use it because I paid the fee. I can relax and read the stories at my leisure.There is a short story in French, followed by vocabulary translation of a selected list of words. Next you get the English translation of the story, which was extremely helpful for me in making the words sink in and make sense.I found this book to be a helpful companion as I try, once again to finally learn French.

It is a perfect guide for learning and honing your French skills if you have already had a foundational primer in French. I learnt some French in high school so it is not totally new to me so very helpful indeed.
