Nintendo DS Lite Console Handheld System Black (Renewed)

Everything looks great. No scratches/screen looks good

I ordered a Onyx Black (Color: Black) Nintendo DS Lite from Rock 30 Games based out of North Dakota via their online Amazon listings under the Nintendo DS Lite varieties.I had previously been fooled into thinking a DIFFERENT seller’s DS was refurbished, but ended up receiving a faulty unit.Upon receiving my order from Rock 30 Games, I was BLOWN AWAY by the fact I got an authentic OEM shell, buttons, GBA Slot cover, and no scratches on what I presume are new screens.Buttons and triggers were soft and clicky, like they should be. The screen calibration is great.The unit has some small scratches, but that’s only due to being loved I’m sure. Overall, amazing quality, and now I’m playing all the games I missed out on as a kid.[Don’t be fooled by other sellers saying “professionally refurbished”, and “unit has no scratches and looks perfect.”] (Ahem… a certain “Packaging” company…)_________________________PLEASE choose Rock 30 Games, they stunned me, and I will be buying from them again. They know what they’re doing, and from my experience… they don’t do shortcuts!

Shell replacement is great, has heavily yellowed screens. While the unit was clean and working (the listed definition of renewed), it looks terrible in use. For an item listed as “excellent” condition, they must have a very different definition of excellent.There is a large price premium for Amazon renewed status, but this same ds lite would go for much less elsewhere.

I was looking at some of the reviews after purchasing it and was worried I might have some of those issues but everything is perfect. It was like a brand new DS (some packaging but no original box). Stylus was there, touch screen was very slightly worn. Item was clean, everything felt normal. Very excited to revisit my old pokemon days! What a great nostalgic purchase.

Fragile and cheap feeling hinges.Not very responsive d-pad where games requiring diagonal inputs is a nightmare.Speakers sound worn out.Start and Select buttons feel wrong. I cannot further explain but they don't feel like they are supposed to.The system was definitely not in excellent quality.

Works as intended however, it does have a yellow tint to it on the screen.

Very good price

Wow. The console itself feels brand new. I’ve purchased 2 DS consoles recently and I am so very suprised at how preserved this console was kept. Either that or whoever refurbished it needs a raise quick.
