Is it safe to use as outdoor furniture?

As to the safety of the chair, I don't know. I have one that I use frequently, indoors only. I can tell you that It is intended for use on a flat surface. It seems to be a somewhat "delicate" chair. I would not recommend it as a patio or lawn chair. For one thing, if it gets wet, you will have a fully stuffed, wet upholstered chair. Whether that's safe or not, most of us wouldn't find it comfortable. Perhaps more important, I assume that dampness would weaken the chair's structure. It is lighter in weight than most other upholstered chairs because it's a hollow metal tubular frame, running through channels of cloth, held together by the tension of elastic bands. Its light weight makes it easier to move around, but it is not welded, nailed, screwed or riveted together. It doesn't appear to be designed as a portable folding chair, like you might take to outdoor concerts. Though it's tempting to use it outdoors, mine stays in the house. It follows the sun around, from one end of the living room to the other. If it were a $25 chair, I might take more chances with it, but at the price they're asking, I treat mine carefully. It's a comfy chair, and I wouldn't want to damage it. Or weaken it.
