New Laptop and Amazon reviews can be klunky, but the Products and Delivery are Great
First: out of the gate, both Harmon Music who sold the product and Amazon's carriers- Were GREAT. No question there. I exclusively use Elixir Stings on all 3 Acoustic Guitars- 2 Taylors and 1 Maton guitar. However when problems and situations arise, there is usually more to the rest of the story. So when it rains it pours, my old laptop had served it's time and purpose well, I had purchased another Dell Laptop with the current operating system Windows 10 which is very "Clunky and awkward" compared to the full blown Windows XtPro system I have used since it release. Anyway in the process of attempting (back arrow) to return the previous screens to update and hopefully finish, it got lost in "cyber-purgatory". So doing reviews late at night usually does not work well, So I went back the next morning to hopefully complete the review.Well when I read the review, I noticed that I had a "Awful Rating", I wondered why? I got some odd message from Amazon Tech, but didn't clearly direct me where to go and how to rectify the problem.I couldn't see all parties involved getting upset and butt-hurt over not only a computer glitch that could affect a marketing rating and review. The Amazon Tech mention it appeared to be a mistake, even with a negative rating. So I figured eventually I would get a request for a review rating, and set things straight, which is where I am at today. So the many business's I have worked in over 30 years, that have dealt with "Shipping and Receiving" in Computer Tech & Repair, Automotive Repair, Railroad Transportation Shipping & Receiving & Repair and Service, is to keep a cool head, give all parties involved the benefit of the doubt. People generally are not out to willfully and purposely : Talk Smack, To Destroy Your Reputation or Intentionally Besmirch Products or People ;who are attempting to work in good faith with each other. So bottom-line this was a bump-in-the-road or a hiccup situation, well it needed a little time to iron out. So I eventually got this review to update and hopefully explain it from the buyer’s perspective. So as a individual buyer like millions of other customers who use Amazon for product shopping and shipping; I would like to continue to do more in the future. But also knowing situations happen, people make mistakes, and how they get rectified and resolved is the key. The key is - there has to be some give and take and not make assumptions.I can think of 2 past customers, the situation I walked into was not of my doing. I had to clean up someone else's mess. I thought I was going to drawn and quartered on the spot and feed to the dogs shortly thereafter inital complaint. However, calmly and rationally walking thru the grieved customers complaint and problem, I set them at ease. I made some phone calls; contacted some fellow techs to make arrangements to speedily rectify the customer’s needs. As I talked to Tech#2, the fiery customer said; Oh you know Tech#2 who I was talking with on the phone. I said yes, they will be here within the hour. So I said would you like to talk with Tech#2 on the phone, and the customer responded yes.So long story short, the customer talked with Tech#2 whom they knew. Tech#2, said the guy (myself) next to you can more than sufficiently take care of the situation. Well after that moment of Confirmation and Assurance, the fiery customer turned out to be one of my best customers who requested myself on future service calls for years to come.Just because there's a little heat near the kitchen, doesn't mean you will necessarily get burned. Be patient. Merry Christmas ~ Dennis

The only strings I use or recommend
I’ve been using Elixir strings for years. I think I’ve only broken two or three strings in the past. That’s very unusual. They also have a great sound. My only complaint has to do with how often I change my strings. I wear them out in two or three months depending on how often I’m playing. I’ve found that the crisp sound I enjoy fades faster than some of the other strings I’ve used in the past. That crisp tone (better than any other strings I’ve used) deadens faster for some reason, but because I never seem to break them (particularly during a gig) I don’t consider that a deal breaker. Definitely worth the investment. I generally buy 3 sets at a time whether I’m buying for my 6 or 12 string guitars. I also use them on my Telecaster with the same results.

Lasting sound
I like the characteristics of these strings. Tried other coated, but always come back to Elixirs, for acoustic and electric.

I thought I'd give these a try especially after I saw that Phil Keaggy recommended them. Glad I did, cause they are great strings.
