The BEST and Only Pill Splitter You Will Ever Need - for Pills of ANY Shape!!
This is, hands down, the *best* pill splitter that I have *ever* used! Now, you may be thinking "$30 for a pill cutter??" Well, let me tell you that it is worth *every* *single* *penny*!I have been splitting pills (along with hairs and infinitives) for decades. I have worked in both the medical and pharmaceutical fields. In other words, I know from pill splitters. Not to mention being a mom for nearly 40 consecutive years (my kids are 20 years apart). Now, the typical pill splitter is perfectly adequate for a while (they are cheap, and eventually break) IF you do not need to split pills very often. And IF you do not need to worry quite so much about precision. And IF you don't ever need to split a pill smaller than in half (for example into quarters). And IF you are only splitting round, fairly flat (and ideally scored) tablets that are not enteric-coated (the hard, candy-coating-like shell). But if any of these conditions are not met, let alone two or more, you will quickly find yourself out of luck. If the tablets are very hard, they will not split cleanly, and much may splinter or shatter off, leaving you trying to make a sliver of a pill into the correct dosage by adding the bits (or powder!) that broke off during the splitting. If your tablet is not flat, but rather round, the pressure will cause it to wobble and go off-center. And if your tablet is not round, all bets are off. (For reference, I'm talking here about this sort of pill splitter: Apex Pill Splitter (I also purchased that one, so it's a fair comparison).)I also purchased another high-end splitter, based on some of its reviews. Plus, I found its shape and function unique and intriguing. That one is this pill splitter: "The Equadose Pill Splitter. The Best Pill Cutter Ever!" - which says right in the title that it is "the best pill cutter ever." My mistake, I should have remembered, as the saying goes, that self-praise is no recommendation at all. My review of that pill splitter includes "I eagerly loaded the first amitriptyline into the Equadose, and immediately ran into problems because it was nearly *impossible* to get the pill to stay still between the pincers. Once I finally had it centered, I closed the blades, and... the pill had moved so that it had been cut off-center and so was divided into a piece that was approximately 2/3s of the tablet AND the remaining 1/3 was *crushed* and unusable!"Now, by contrast, *this* pill splitter that you are considering right here right now - this "Multiple Pill Splitter" by Pillcut - is *brilliant*. It had arrived at the same time as the others, and I put the rest of that amitriptyline into it (6 pills at a time!) and it cut them in half cleanly, easily, precisely, and, dare I say it, beautifully. If I'd needed to I could have then rotated them a quarter turn and split them all into quarters just as readily.I promptly gave away the other pill splitters - yes, even the one that I had spent $30 on.If you are on the fence about spending $30 on a pill splitter: if you spend it on *this* one I promise that you won't be disappointed.

works as advertised, A+++, took some getting used to briefly
WOW. so i have been splitting pills for some years, one is a coated sort of rounded pill and the other is a regular scored uncoated white pill. i needed a pill cutter for the coated one. The white one i try to do with my finger nails because the pill cutter doesn't do a good job of it. always frustrating, one out of 20 times it comes out about right. so i have continued to use a cheap one i got at CVS and later i got the same kind on Amazon. It worked ok, not great, in the sense it didn't cut evenly and i needed evenness, pretty uniform doses. I got another one on Amazon, basically the same functioning as the first one, not very even, and the blad gets dull so that it gets worse over time. But the blade would wear out before too long. Now, in the past month my previously healthy almost 13 year old dog got right sided congestive heart failure and severe pulmonary hypertension and he's supposed to be on 4 meds, one of which i have to split--the form it comes in is called "Quads" and it's scored to cut in quarters. Doing it with my finger nails was too inexact. The usual pill cutter about the same. So i came to Amazon and i only looked at the ones with 4.5 star reviews. This was one of the top reviewed ones. The reviews sounded really good. And there was the ability to cut multiple pills at once. Too good to be true, yet so many happy reviewers. $30??? ok, it's my dog and he's in real trouble and needs his meds to be right. so i ordered it. It was delivered very fast .So, i got into trying it out right away. This is probably just me, brain dead from recent stress. but i had a hard time figuring out how to open it in order to put the pills in. The instructions on the box didn't help. i found a video on line and still didn't have the concept of it, the specific way you push on the ends of the cutter to have it open up. Slowly, i found how to do it but then would immediately forget, even watching it on the video. For me, it was counterintuitive. But finally i started getting the feel for it and the concept of it. not rocket science but for me, at that point in time, it took me about 20 to 30 minutes to get it figured out solid. i experienced frustration. No doubt just the difficulties i have been having getting the medications right, like giving it to him and then later finding it on the floor (one of the three pills) , or me just forgetting to give all of them to him, there are 4 different occasions throughout the day. i sometimes outright forgot, even setting a timer. So i got a great app that reminds you which also took a long time to get set up but now is good.i really don't think it's that hard to open this cutter to put pills in it, i think my difficulties were caused by my anxiety unrelated to the pill cutter. i was pushing on the sides the way i thought it should work and nothing happened. press real hard, no response. So once i could easily open and close it, i followed the instructions and put several pills in it. i hadn't really thought i wanted a multiple pill cutter, just a well functioning single pill cutter would be a dream come true. The first cut i made was uneven. i tried it again more carefully and it was as close to perfect as i could want. I got a bunch more, all excellent, so now i have a big collection of doses and i don't have to think about it anymore. Thank you Multiple Pill Splitter for greatly improving my quality of life.I then went to my own pills, the coated ones that are hard as a rock. they are rounded, no flat surfaces. so ididn't think they could be cut accurately in the position this pill cutter uses. i put a bunch in there and they were split as equally as i could need, i couldn't see difference in them, not what i'm used to. Before this pill cutter, i was always taking the larger piece and breaking a bit off of it to add to the smaller piece. :(Now, i have a huge collection of evenly cut half pills. This is one of those really good product experiences that makes me feel happy when i think about it. It totally works, way better than hoped for or imagined. i didn't even realize how wonderfut it would be to have a supply of already split pills and not have to even think about cutting them.i have only used it on those few attempts on the day i got it so i don't know if it holds up, but i can see that i'm not even going to have to use it very often because it cuts so many at once so i'm expecting it to last. If i have any unreasonably negative experiecnes or unsupported customer service, i'll update the review, but i do not expect to have any problem. Solid easy to use multi pill cutter with great blade.

Well made product that works perfectly as described.
I received this pill splitter today and am very happy with it. I loaded 10 tiny pills into the device and split all of them at once. Every single one cut right down the middle and saved me a lot of time and aggravation compared to the other two single pill splitters I currently own. It appears to be very well made and safe to use, as the cutting blade is completely hidden behind a safety shield in the top of the device. It's a little pricier than others available, but I believe it's worth the price. I've tried two other less expensive designs that failed miserably cutting the small pill sizes prescribed. If you have larger pills, the other's work just fine. If you have small ones, this is the gem. You'll also appreciate that it cuts multiple pills, both small and large, all at once. Great design!

Great except for no blade replacement
I've had this pill cutter for almost 3 years. I take 11 pills a day with several needing to be split. It works fantastic until the blade gets dull. Which is the only reason I'm only giving it 4 stars. If it had a way to replace the blade then this would easily be the best pill cutter on the market. The blade cover easily comes off by removing the plastic pegs, no tools needed. So it's easy to clean. I just really wish I could put a fresh blade in, instead of having to buy an all new replacement.

Best investment I've made this year!
This is such a time saver and hand/wrist saver too. I handle my Mother's pills and splitting 2 separate RX with 90 pills in each was crazy. The last time I was doing it, I thought if anybody had designed a multiple pill splitter.I used this for the 1st time today and was able to split 10 pills at a time. It was fast, easy and they split nicely. I recommend this to anybody that has to split pills!
